One Year Celebration
Inspired by the advocacy and leadership of Strong Towns, a group of Milwaukee-area citizens gathered in January 2023 to bring the bottom-up revolution to our region.
Our second meeting in February 2023
Our group has met at least once a month since, and our growing team has:
Built and installed bus benches with plans to build one hundred more
Advocated for and raised resources to reconstruct I-794 to enhance Downtown Milwaukee
Attended local and county-wide meetings advocating for more walkable, bikeable, and vibrant places
Seen the Strong Towns movement expand into Elm Grove, Glendale, and South Milwaukee
Last night, we relished our shared commitment, highlighted our progress, welcomed some new folks, and charted the efforts ahead.
